Below are pictures to give an idea of our club activities
A regular event for us is the Riverside Market at Berry Park held in the morning of the first Saturday of every month, this is a smaller and more intimate market with lots of interesting stalls and a sausage sizzle. Come along and meet us, grab a bacon and egg roll and have a chat.
We provided lunch for the engineers day and also manned a stall in the CSU wellbeing day trying to convince students of the need for a will, not nice to think of but very necessary, Lions have a program to assist this which you can check out at http://www.willityourway.com/
|The races at mount panorama are another good opportunity for us, here we provided breakfast for the officials and yes that means starting at a time not to be mentioned in polite company||Bathurst winter festival is another great (if cold) opportunity for us and here we are getting ready for service.|
While we probably spend most of our efforts raising funds by sausage sizzles and generally selling food that really is a means to an end, the end being to use that money to help out, there are so many examples of this and it really is the whole point but the markets and fun things are much easier to photograph.
A quirky one this, as a change from the real thing we did a virtual sausage sizzle in the Bathurst City Centre no calorie, meat free, totally healty virtual sausages. This was on behalf on the "Australia Lions Childhood Cancer Research Foundation" who do great work for Childhood Cancer.
Oh yes, did we mention fun! this was a social event we held themed on a Bollywood night, great night of fine curry, dancing and harder than usual quiz!
